I take my hat off for authors that can write short stories, I don't think they are easy to do. I wouldn't even know where to begin to write one if my life depended on it.
Joss L. Riley didn't write just one in Prey for Day, she wrote four. The first one follow a teenage vampire Eva and her human friend Danny. I would've loved for this story to go on just a tad more as it ended with Eva being found by Six. A hunter, which doesn't seem like a hunter, but a stronger supernatural being than Eva. She got dragged away by Six with Danny's vow of finding her, even if it's the last thing he does.
The second story is about Jullian. This one was a bit more complexed as Joss begin this story of Jullian's old life, moving to the past and showed us more or less what happened. Angels are involved, but really p'd off angels. There is a bit of swearing in this novel, but Joss, again, used it only when needed. I loved the ending of the second story and feel that it can be turned into an amazing novel.
End of the world story is also in this one and one about bad gods. I do recommend this novel for readers who love a story about different super natural beings, and completely different settings and characters.
Really enjoyed it
